[1.] Segfault reading SCSI MO - System hang while writing [2.] Hello * with kernel 2.4.x (actually 2.4.3) i ran into a problem acessing my SCSI MO. As everything works fine with 2.2.x (actually 19) the problem seems to be new in the 2.4.x kernel series and therefore you might want to take a look. I can mount the MO (/dev/sda) as /mnt/mod fs:vfat and do a ls with no problem or warning and i can cd to the directories of the MO. But if i try to open a file for example to copy it to somewhere i get a segfault. A try to write to it is even more worse, my system hangs immediately. After the error the device can't be unmounted any more. I don't think that the problem is in the hardware related driver (sym53c8xx) because i tried it with the ncr53c8xx and 53c7,8xx too with the same result. What i tried also is to mount the MO as msdos and umsdos and it produced the segfault too.
