Possibly it's from German ('proper' = 'clean'). In CZ, we have Mr. Proper too - it's same as Mr Clean, but 'proper' doesn't mean anything in czech too. I think it's just an international name for that tool, which is using everywhere. I think we explained it totally cleanly (properly ;-) and we are going really offtopic now ;-). > > > -- v -- > > v@iki.fi -- Peter "Pasky" Baudis Whoever coded that patch should be taken out and shot, hung, drawn and quartered then forced to write COBOL for the rest of their natural life. -- Keith Owens in linux-kernel -----BEGIN GEEK CODE BLOCK----- Version: 3.12 GCS d- s++:++ a--- C+++ UL++++$ P+ L+++ E--- W+ N !o K- w-- !O M- !V PS+ !PE Y+ PGP+>++ t+ 5 X(+) R++ tv- b+ DI(+) D+ G e-> h! r% y? ------END GEEK CODE BLOCK------ - To unsubscribe from this list: send the line "unsubscribe linux-kernel" in the body of a message to majordomo@vger.kernel.org Please read the FAQ at http://www.tux.org/lkml/
