They should set the CREAD flag in your tty c_cflag. the patch for busybox repalced the line tty.c_cflag |= HUPCL|CLOCAL by tty.c_cflag |= CREAD|HUPCL|CLOCAL Hope this help. -- Fabrice Gautier
