Subject: PROBLEM: OOPS in the emu10k1 module
Date: Wed, 16 Jul 2003 13:47:11 +0200	[thread overview]
Message-ID: <20030716114711.GA4820@sokrates> (raw)

Hi,

I booted my fresh-compiled 2.6.0-test1, and found out, that the sound
didn't work. Later, I found out that there was an oops in /var/log/dmesg.

$ cat /proc/modules | grep emu10k1
emu10k1 66944 1 - Loading 0xe0894000
ac97_codec 17792 1 emu10k1, Live 0xe0869000

$ uname -a
Linux sokrates 2.6.0-test1 #1 Wed Jul 16 10:35:17 CEST 2003 i686 GNU/Linux

If it should matter, it is a Debian system, and I do have the module-init-tools for 2.5.x and 2.6.x.

Bottom of /var/log/dmesg:

Creative EMU10K1 PCI Audio Driver, version 0.20, 10:36:10 Jul 16 2003

I know that this is a oops - a kernel error - so I'm posting it here. Please tell me, if you need additional info about my system.
