My apologies if I am not doing this right. When I restart my machine during woody instalation, eth0 would not start up. I am trying to install woody from 'floppies' which I have copied to a hard drive partition and I am booting into it from grub. Instalation would go fine. I would use natsemi module for my ethernet card and that would work fine during instalation. Last step I wold do is to skip seting up boot options since I already have grub installed. When machine would re-boot into 2.4.18-bf2.4 kernel, I would get a following error message: eth0: autonegotiation did not complete in 4000 usec. and of course I would not be conected to network This is a re-ocuring problem that I would get when ever I used any linux distribution with 2.4 kernel, and I would eventualy solve it by recompiling the kernel with diffrent options untill ethernet works. I have .config file of working setup somwhere but I cannot acces it since my linux machine is not running and I am forced to use my girlfriends widows machine. I cannot recompile the kernel since I cannot download source, and I cannot download source since I am unable to fix ethernet by recompiling the kernel. I am ataching dmesg output, kurent faulty kernel config file and /etc/modules file I am runing 2.4.18-bf2.4 kernel and libc-2.2.5.so
