Hi kernel hackers, I've some strange issues with the floppy driver on a power4 pSeries. Initially this machine was running a 2.4.21 (a SuSE kernel) which worked fine. Now the kernel has been upgraded to 2.6.8.1 (2.6.7 is active currently, so the logs are from this kernel) and the accessing the floppy (read) results in: # dmesg | grep fd0 Floppy drive(s): fd0 is 2.88M end_request: I/O error, dev fd0, sector 0 Buffer I/O error on device fd0, logical block 0 Writing data seems to work. Never hit such thing - is there anything I can do wrong with compiling the kernel or formatting floppies that I don't know yet? Any help would be appreciated... Cajus
