Subject: Linux is Great and the Microkernel
Date: Tue, 5 Jul 2005 00:25:14 +0300 [thread overview]
Message-ID: <200507042125.AAA21980@raad.intranet> (raw)
Linux is Great not because it's Great it's not but because it's GNU.
Linux is monolithic.
That's good for performance, bad for scalability.
The Microkernel is scalable, slower by design.
A monolithic kernel can run a microkernel as a module.
Linux is Great!
