His problem is recognizing "kernel version" vs. "filename" as a
parameter.
depmod [ -e ] [ -FSystem.map ] [ -n ] [ -v ] [ version ] [ filename... ]
Oh course, that's a stupid interface, but probably a hard one to
change.
