Again, I'd rather do
        s = kvasprintf(GFP_KERNEL, fmt, vargs);
        if (!s)
                return -ENOMEM;
	strreplace(s, '/', '!');
	old_name = kobj->name;
	kobj->name = s;
	kfree(old_name);
