Because the CFI information for all alternative code flows must be the
same. So by playing games with instruction offsets you can have
conflicting CFI inside the alternative.
Specifically, we have:
0: 90 nop
1: 90 nop
2: 48 89 ec mov %rbp, %rsp
0: 48 83 c4 0c add $12, %rsp
4: f2 0f 01 ca erets
This gets us CFI updates on 0, 2 and 4, without conflicts.
