Subject: [PATCH 16/16] KVM: arm64: selftests: Add pkvm_exceptions debug and SError test
Date: Wed, 4 Nov 2026 08:48:42 +0000 [thread overview]
Message-ID: <20261104084842.132944-17-fuad.tabba@linux.dev> (raw)
In-Reply-To: <20261104084842.132944-1-fuad.tabba@linux.dev>
pKVM can hide self-hosted debug from a protected guest, which then reads
ID_AA64DFR0_EL1.DebugVer as 0. A virtual SError the host injects has to
be delivered by EL2, since the host can't see whether the guest has it
masked.
Verify that the guest's own handler takes a hardware breakpoint, a
watchpoint and a single step, and that an injected SError is pending in
ISR_EL1.A while PSTATE.A masks it and is taken once unmasked. The debug
cases skip while ID_AA64DFR0_EL1.DebugVer is 0.
