Subject: [PATCH RFC v3 50/88] KVM: selftests: Test guest_memfd conversions with sample memory provider backing
Date: Fri, 06 Nov 2026 16:37:24 -0800 [thread overview]
Message-ID: <20261106-gmem-alternative-providers-v3-50-8484dde66a7e@google.com> (raw)
In-Reply-To: <20261106-gmem-alternative-providers-v3-0-8484dde66a7e@google.com>
From: Ackerley Tng <ackerleytng@google.com>
Add fixture variant for the sample memory provider.
If the sample memory provider cannot be opened because the module is not
loaded, the variant is skipped gracefully via TEST_REQUIRE().
Because PFN-backed memory cannot be pinned via GUP, expect pinning to fail
for the variant in the elevated_refcount test.
