It really shouldn't, we're talking about /proc which is supposed to bea stable userspace interface.
Try upgrading your procps, there's a chance it's just so ancient thatit accidentally got broken. However, if that fixes your problem, thenplease report back with a subject line of "/proc API breakage" orsomesuch, to get the proper attention to the issue.ÿôèº{.nÇ+‰·Ÿ®‰†+%ŠËÿ±éݶ\x17¥Šwÿº{.nÇ+‰·¥Š{±þG«éÿŠ{ayº\x1dʇڙë,j\a¢f£¢·hšïêÿ‘êçz_è®\x03(éšŽŠÝ¢j"ú\x1a¶^[m§ÿÿ¾\a«þG«éÿ¢¸?™¨èÚ&£ø§~á¶iO•æ¬z·švØ^\x14\x04\x1a¶^[m§ÿÿÃ\fÿ¶ìÿ¢¸?–I¥
