My hardware: AMD Athlon K7 550 Shuttle AI61 (AMD750 based main board) Diamond A200 Graphics card (Savage4 based) Aopen Realtec 8139 based ethernet card The Oops happens every time I do a cold boot. Most of the time, a warm start (pressing the reset button) makes the machine boot o.k. Here's the output of the Oops after running it through ksymoops... ksymoops 2.3.7 on i686 2.4.1-pre7. Options used -V (default) -k /proc/ksyms (default) -l /proc/modules (default) -o /lib/modules/2.4.1-pre7/ (default) -m /home/scratch/linux/System.map (specified) No modules in ksyms, skipping objects Warning (read_lsmod): no symbols in lsmod, is /proc/modules a valid lsmod file? I also included the output of dmesg for when the kernel boots after a warm start and the contents of /proc/pci in the same case.
