Hi everyone; My system is an intel based platform (Celeron) with a Matrox g200 video card. I have been running fine with kernel 2.4.6 and decided to upgrade to kernel 2.4.10. The Linux installation is a heavily updated RedHat 6.2 version. I've attached my kernel config file. The issue I have is that X stopped working with the updated Kernel. Understanding that the DRI interface has been updated to 4.1, I did not compile that in. My thought was that the g200 driver would recognize the lack of a DRI interface and work correctly. Obviously this is not the case. I did attempt to delete the module references in the XF86Config files but this has not helped either. So my questions are: 1. Has anybody else had issues with this combo? 2. Is it a requirement to update to X 4.1 with the new kernel? 3. Anyone have suggestions that may help in getting X to work with this kernel? Thanks Dave
