Right at the end of `make modules_install', I get the following error: ake[1]: Leaving directory `/usr/src/1/linux-2.5.40/arch/i386/lib' if [ -r System.map ]; then /sbin/depmod -ae -F System.map 2.5.40; fi depmod: *** Unresolved symbols in /lib/modules/2.5.40/kernel/arch/i386/kernel/apm.o depmod: cpu_gdt_table Searching Google has found no results, but it has suggested that this problem has existed for at least 11 revisions. Since noone has fixed it (according to Google), I guess it's not a problem on every PC for some reason... Does anyone know how I can quickly patch my kernel to compile correctly? If any more details are needed, please ask... My .config file is attached. Thanks! Note: I am not subscribed to Linux-Kernel so please CC replies to my email
