I was able to port to 2.6.1, yesterday's stable Linux kernel, the 
versions of the UML Skas3 patch that Steven James had ported to 
2.6.0-test1.  This patch is based on a clean 2.6.1 base.

I am running 2.6.1-skas3 (2.6.1 with this patch), SuSE9 Pro, the 
NVIDIA-Linux-1.0-x86-5328-pkg0, ReiserFS host and virtual, and I am able 
to bring up UM Linux instances using Gerd's kernels that confirm that 
they are able to find the Skas3 facilities.  I'm using filesystems 
created with uml-install-suse (with the "hwscan" service turned off to 
prevent lockup in my more complete instances).  The host filesystems are 
running on IDE software RAID 5 and 0 partitions.  No crashes or warnings 
and apparent normal performance so far.

With respect to NVidia/agp, agpgart does have a problem with an unknown 
parameter: agp_try_unsupported, apparently an obsolete request by the 
closed source NVidia driver.  glxgears is getting about 1200 fps so I 
believe that AGP is working in some manner.
