Hello, I reproducably get a kernel panic when plugging in a usb isdn modem, Billion tiny USB ISDN TA 128). It is said to work with the hfc_usb isdn drivers in the kernel, so I compiled them into it. Kernel is 2.6.20-rc5, gcc 3.4.6 on a via epia 5000 board. Is there anything I can do? Shall I file a bug report? When plugging the usb cable, I get this: Oops: 0000 [#1] PREEMPT Modules linked in: CPU: 0 EIP: 0060:[<00000000>] Not tainted VLI EFLAGS: 00010046 (2.6.20-rc5 #2) EIP is at 0x0 eax: d5ab6000 ebx: d5ab6a03 ecx: 00000000 edx: 00000112 esi: d5ab6000 edi: 00000005 ebp: c064beec esp: c064bedc ds: 007b es: 007b ss: 0068 Process khubd (pid: 131, ti=c064b000 task=d7dae050 task.ti=d7d97000) Stack: c03a6808 00ab6ac0 d5ab6ac0 d4e2db08 c064bf10 c03a74cc c04b5a49 d7ac1628 00000040 00000002 d4e2db08 d7a9b308 00000000 c064bf28 c034a82f 00000000 d7a9b41c d7aca5a0 d679a3e8 c064bf5c c035e462 c035e600 00000001 c064bf50 Call Trace: [] show_trace_log_lvl+0x1a/0x30 [] show_stack_log_lvl+0x9a/0xd0 [] show_registers+0x1c6/0x340 [] die+0x171/0x230 [] do_page_fault+0x366/0x5b0 [] error_code+0x74/0x80 [] rx_complete+0x8c/0x150 [] usb_hcd_giveback_urb+0x3f/0xb0 [] uhci_giveback_urb+0x82/0x1c0 [] uhci_scan_qh+0x9c/0x240 [] uhci_scan_schedule+0x98/0x130 [] uhci_irq+0xd7/0x180 [] usb_hcd_irq+0x25/0x60 [] handle_IRQ_event+0x30/0x70 [] handle_level_irq+0x7d/0x110 [] do_IRQ+0x87/0xd0 [] common_interrupt+0x2e/0x40 [] cache_alloc_debugcheck_after+0xc0/0x180 [] __kmalloc_track_caller+0xaa/0x100 [] __alloc_skb+0x4d/0x110 [] kobject_uevent_env+0x2e1/0x4e0 [] kobject_uevent+0xa/0x10 [] device_del+0x8f/0x220 [] device_unregister+0xb/0x20 [] usb_remove_ep_files+0x58/0x70 [] usb_create_sysfs_intf_files+0xca/0x100 [] usb_set_configuration+0x313/0x470 [] generic_probe+0x26/0x80 [] usb_probe_device+0x4c/0x60 [] really_probe+0x94/0x110 [] driver_probe_device+0x99/0xd0 [] __device_attach+0x8/0x10 [] bus_for_each_drv+0x49/0x70 [] device_attach+0x66/0x90 [] bus_attach_device+0x21/0x50 [] device_add+0x199/0x430 [] __usb_new_device+0x63/0xf0 [] usb_new_device+0x67/0xa0 [] hub_port_connect_change+0x1c3/0x3d0 [] hub_events+0x1cd/0x3e0 [] hub_thread+0x15/0x100 [] kthread+0x94/0xc0 [] kernel_thread_helper+0x7/0x10 ======================= Code: Bad EIP value.
