[resending, as I'm not sure if x86@kernel.org is a mailing list at all] Hi all, I'm just trying to reboot a node with kexec and unless I specify 'nosmp' that gets stuck at > [ 0.313912] Performance Events: PEBS fmt1+, 16-deep LBR, SandyBridge events, full-width counters, Intel PMU driver. > [ 0.325631] ... version: 3 > [ 0.330107] ... bit width: 48 > [ 0.334679] ... generic registers: 4 > [ 0.339155] ... value mask: 0000ffffffffffff > [ 0.345089] ... max period: 0000ffffffffffff > [ 0.351022] ... fixed-purpose events: 3 > [ 0.355500] ... event mask: 000000070000000f > [ 0.362872] smpboot: Booting Node 0, Processors # 1 I already tried with and without "intremap=no_x2apic_optout" (dell bios which disables x2apic), but that doesn't make a difference. Any ideas? Logs of a normal boot and a kexec-boot are attached. Kexec bootint 3.11 also doesn't work. Thanks, Bernd
