BTW, there are a few more instances of *-n, none of which seem useful:

$ git --no-pager grep -e '[a-z]-n\>'  -- '*Makefile*' '*Kbuild*'

Makefile:		     $(core-n) $(core-) $(drivers-n) $(drivers-) \
