I can, and it seems something even more fundamental. Just trying to mount something from an IP where not even a samba is running (aka 127.0.0.1 in my last test) crashes my kernel. # mount -t cifs //127.0.0.1/doesnotexist /mnt/tmp It asks for a password, I enter some random chars and press return, and then the kernel crashes - as "usual" nothing written to the logs.
