This is still broken for me. For years, I didn't have a broken
kernel. When I booted with 2.6.31, it never reached the login
prompt - http://marc.info/?l=linux-kernel&m=125340020804711&w=2
I'd appreciate if anyone can find anything missing in the
attached config. I'm also sending a diff from 2.6.30.7.
And
$ sh scripts/ver_linux
If some fields are empty or look unusual you may have an old version.
Compare to the current minimal requirements in Documentation/Changes.
