Hello all, since 2.6.13, I can see often (not allways), problems setting the DMA onto the first ide channel. The following commands are executed during booting: hdparm -S30 -d1 -m16 /dev/hda hdparm -y /dev/hdb If the error occures, it takes about 5 seconds until the command is executed. These error messages can be seen afterwards: hda: dma_intr: status=0xd0 { Busy } ide: failed opcode was: unknown hda: DMA disabled hdb: DMA disabled hda: set_drive_speed_status: status=0xd0 { Busy } ide: failed opcode was: unknown ide0: reset: success Surprisingly, the DMA is switched on afterwards nevertheless!? lspci -vvv -xxx gives on 2.6.12 for IDE: 00:11.1 IDE interface: VIA Technologies, Inc.
