Subject: [PATCH 3.2 035/147] af_key: do not use GFP_KERNEL in atomic contexts
Date: Mon, 06 Nov 2017 23:03:07 +0000 [thread overview]
Message-ID: <lsq.1510009387.351333723@decadent.org.uk> (raw)
In-Reply-To: <lsq.1510009386.175361203@decadent.org.uk>
3.2.95-rc1 review patch. If anyone has any objections, please let me know.
------------------
From: Eric Dumazet <edumazet@google.com>
commit 36f41f8fc6d8aa9f8c9072d66ff7cf9055f5e69b upstream.
pfkey_broadcast() might be called from non process contexts,
we can not use GFP_KERNEL in these cases [1].
This patch partially reverts commit ba51b6be38c1 ("net: Fix RCU splat in
af_key"), only keeping the GFP_ATOMIC forcing under rcu_read_lock()
section.
