I have recently had a problem with the fdomain driver initialisation and
have found the problem to be the way in which it requests the irq. Here is
my patch that has so far work ok.

--- linux/drivers/scsi/fdomain.c	Thu Jul  5 13:35:41 2001
+++ fdomain.c	Thu Jun 28 08:08:03 2001
@@ -981,8 +981,8 @@
    } else {
       /* Register the IRQ with the kernel */

-      retcode = request_irq( interrupt_level,
-			     do_fdomain_16x0_intr, 0, "fdomain", NULL);
+      retcode = request_irq( shpnt->irq,
+			     do_fdomain_16x0_intr, SA_SHIRQ, "fdomain", shpnt);

       if (retcode < 0) {
 	 if (retcode == -EINVAL) {

Hope this is correct.

Regards
