How to install redhat9.0 on SATA harddisk

Hi,all:

How to install redhat9.0 on a SATA 80G harddisk? When I boot from the redhat9.0 CD it said couldn't find the harddisk. So there's no SATA driver. Then how to create a SATA driver disk? I didn't find it on the redhat website. Thanks a lot!

RH9.0 is sufficiently ancient that there is no SATA support.  IIRC the 
drives themselves did not become available until around the time of 
fedora core 1's release.

You would be far more able to handle modern hardware if you downloaded 
the FC4 set of iso's and burnt them to a fresh set of cdr's.

This mailing list isn't for either Red Hat or installation issues.  

That said, Red Hat 9.0 is old, unsupported, and predates SATA.  You'd
be much better off trying to get Fedora installed on that machine, and
contact the Red Hat Fedora mailing lists if you have problems.

That's not entirely true - there are some SATA controller drivers in the 
RH9 kernel, like the Silicon Image controllers, and of course the 3ware 
cards..
