Hello kernel list

Can one build a Linux Kernel that can be expected to run on all
i386 machines. If so how? Can you point me in the right direction?

Thanks a bunch,
Daniel

Look at the -BOOT kernels from the various distributions.

The kernel on the installer media should run on all x86
machines.

cheers,

Rik

Try setting processor type to i386 and enabling FPU emulation. This
should cover even 386sx machines.

Greets, Antonio.
