There is a new ALSA patch available, but it didn't apply cleanly to -mm3. If I have time later today I'll see if I can apply only ymfpci-related changes and if they help. // / _____________________________________________________________ Kuukausimaksuton nettiyhteys: http://www.suomi24.fi/liittyma/ Yli 12000 logoa ja soittoääntä: http://sms.suomi24.fi/ ^ permalink raw reply [flat|nested] 13+ messages in thread

The newest ALSA patch touched two ymfpci files, and when I applied them everything works fine, so I'd expect next -mm work, too. // / _____________________________________________________________ Kuukausimaksuton nettiyhteys: http://www.suomi24.fi/liittyma/ Yli 12000 logoa ja soittoääntä: http://sms.suomi24.fi/ ^ permalink raw reply [flat|nested] 13+ messages in thread

The good news: The reiserfs changes seem to be stable, I have been running this kernel on an all reiserfs box since this morning and everything seems completely fine with it. The bad news: Somewhere in the changes brought in from Linus BK (I assume since there were USB changes there, but none that I noticed in your changes), all my USB keyboard LEDs stopped working. Numlock and capslock still seem to function correctly but the LEDs on the keyboard no longer work, with 2.5.70-mm2 they worked on VTs and in X, with 2.5.70-mm3 they don't work on either. Please swap some disks out and if it still happens, send a report to linux-scsi@vger.kernel.org > buffer layer error at fs/buffer.c:2835 > Call Trace: > [<c015a760>] drop_buffers+0xc0/0xd0 > [<c015a7bb>] try_to_free_buffers+0x4b/0xb0 > [<c01a22ef>] journal_invalidatepage+0xdf/0x130 > [<c0193123>] ext3_invalidatepage+0x43/0x50 > [<c0141bb7>] do_invalidatepage+0x27/0x30 > [<c0141c4e>] truncate_complete_page+0x8e/0x90 That's expected - block_prepare_write() marked the page not uptodate when it saw the I/O error. Although that is a fairly bogus thing to be doing. ^ permalink raw reply [flat|nested] 13+ messages in thread
