Hi,
I am having to port linux to a new architecture. This architecture does not
have gcc ported on to it. This does have an ansi c compiler.
Has anyone has had any experience/success with building linux with an ansi c
compiler. I know it does not build automagically, but any info on
deviations/changes/tools would be appreciated a LOT.
thanks in advance,
dominique

I suspect you're in for a rough time of it.
There are a considerable number of gcc extensions to the C language, as
listed at:
http://gcc.gnu.org/onlinedocs/gcc-3.3.3/gcc/C-Extensions.html#C%20Extensions
and the Linux kernel uses quite a few of them.
What processor architecture is this that gcc doesn't run on it?

Port gcc first. Lots of the kernel depend intimately on GCC-isms.

Hi media guys,
After try to build the media drivers with some radios enabled, I got this error:
marcos@tux:/mnt/dados/gitroot/linux$ make M=drivers/media
Building modules, stage 2.
MODPOST 21 modules
WARNING: "snd_tea575x_init" [drivers/media/radio/radio-shark.ko] undefined!
WARNING: "snd_tea575x_exit" [drivers/media/radio/radio-shark.ko] undefined!
WARNING: "snd_tea575x_init" [drivers/media/radio/radio-maxiradio.ko] undefined!
WARNING: "snd_tea575x_exit" [drivers/media/radio/radio-maxiradio.ko] undefined!
I saw that there is a EXPORT_SYMBOL of these functions in the file
sound/i2c/other/tea575x-tuner.c
But, I don't know how to find this...
Can someone show me how can I fix this?
Thanks since now!
