Subject: [PATCH 06/25] docs/zh_TW: process: sync 7.AdvancedTopics.rst with the English original
Date: Fri, 6 Nov 2026 19:31:21 +0800	[thread overview]
Message-ID: <20261106113142.706783-7-chenyou910331@gmail.com> (raw)
In-Reply-To: <20261106113142.706783-1-chenyou910331@gmail.com>

The translation was marked as updated to commit 5ce70894f6ca ("Doc:
correct spelling and wording mistakes"), but its content predates
commit 93431e0607e5 ("Replace HTTP links with HTTPS ones:
documentation") and commit 6e55b1cbf05d ("docs: try to encourage
(netdev?) reviewers"): the lwn.net link was still http:// and the
reviewing section lacked the paragraphs added by "docs: try to encourage
(netdev?) reviewers". A section-by-section comparison against the
current English text brings it in line with the full current original:

- add the _reviews label and the missing reviewing advice: asking
others to chime in when a discussion stalls, reviews in plain English
being encouraged even when a Reviewed-by tag is given, and throwing
in a compliment once in a while
- switch the lwn.net link to https
- capitalize Git where the original now refers to the tool, and fix the
  BitKeeper spelling
- retranslate sentences whose meaning had drifted (pushing changes that
do not fast-forward, overriding that check, moving work into public
branches once it is reasonably advanced, ill-advised changes slipping
  in below the review radar)
- keep the Linus quote in its literal block in English and add a
Chinese translation after it, as in 2.Process.rst
- replace tabs with spaces in the URL block, and wrap the :Original:
line to keep it within 80 columns, as in stable-api-nonsense.rst

update to commit 4a0be1a25d98 ("Documentation: process: Capitalize Git,
Quilt, and Mercurial consistently")
