Are you recommending splitting this into two separate series, one containing
the codec binding patch and another containing the three DTS patches?

I can certainly do that, but could you elaborate on the reason for preferring
that approach? I'm trying to understand whether this is due to the expected
routing through different trees/maintainers or if there is another consideration.
