strange, I've not seen this crash before.
I can try building a kernel myself with your config next weekend - if
it works for me then I suspect that it's a GCC issue (you're using the
Linaro GCC 4.9.4 - while I'm using standard GCC 6.3.1
(arm-none-eabi-gcc from Arch Linux' community repo)

you can have a look at the Vega S95 devicetree [0] which enables
GPIODV_24 (instead of GPIOZ_1, but that's easy to replace) for USB
VBUS. it then passes the regulator to the phy

1. Collected the version of the kernel with gcc linaro 6.3.1 . The
result is the same crash.
2. Gathered option without the option CONFIG_PWM_MESON no longer drop core.

Thanks for the info, soon I will check this option.

you have to play around and see whether you need "enable-active-high;"
or not (depends on the original .dts / Amlogic kernel implementation)
Additionally you need to add "phy-supply = <&usb_vbus>;" to the
usb0_phy node - otherwise the PHY does not know that it has to enable
the usb_vbus regulator.
Regards,
Martin

can you please boot the Android system that came with the device and
get a copy of:

I'm using an initrd from Arch Linux ARM (from their ARMv7 multi-platform image).
however, I found another missing kernel config option yesterday: you
also need to enable CONFIG_COMMON_CLK_PWM
once you enable that you should be able to see /dev/mmcblk1p[0-9] with
all the partitions from your SD card
I was also able to reproduce the kernel crash you reported last week.
it seems to go away when enabling CONFIG_DEBUG_SPINLOCK in the kernel
config - but I will create a separate thread about this (as I suspect
that there may be some memory corruption along with a race condition
somewhere)

Martin

I received the necessary data from LebreELEC (this system now I have eMMC).
Let me know if you need to receive this data always from Android.

Hi Martin
Good news. Using the sources Your latest kernel (20170513) and amendments
in the config of the kernel I was able to run on Tronsmart MXIII Plus
(s812).
By the way, in the source for Your kernel I had to make one small change
to comment
out the in /arch/arm/mach-meson/Makefile a build of platsmp.
Thanks for the support. Now I have the ability
to run basic system on the device and test will be easier.

this looks pretty good - the SD card is found!
have you tried enabling the brcmfmac driver (CONFIG_BRCMFMAC and
CONFIG_BRCMFMAC_SDIO) to see whether your wireless chip is detected as
well?
testing if wifi works would help me a lot, since my board comes with a
RTL8723BS wifi chip and I couldn't get it working on first try (but I
don't trust the driver there, while I know that the brcmfmac driver
works fine based on my experience with other boards)

Hi Martin
I added modules to the kernel. Put together a new way s812_wifi.txt.
The result of loading the modules in the application.
I guess I need to add settings in the DTB file ?

thanks for that - along with your dmesg output from the vendor kernel
this gives us some more details
your dmesg indicates that SDIO port/slot 0 is used for the wifi chip,
see all these aml_sdio_print_err messages with "pdata->port=0"
it also confirms that GPIOAO_6 and GPIOX_11 are used to power on the
wifi chip and that GPIOX_10 is used as pin for the LPO (32.768 kHz)
clock
unfortunately the kernel log when booting my kernel does not show
anything about the wifi chip.
I would have either expected error messages from mmc0 or a short
message that the device was detected.
can you please show me the output of /sys/kernel/debug/mmc[0-2]/* with
my kernel and the original Android/LibreELEC kernel?
regarding your USB problem: unfortunately there doesn't seem to be
anything relevant in the Android/LibreELEC kernel logs.
can you please provide a patch with the .dts changes you made so I can
have a look at these (maybe there's a typo somewhere)?
Regards,
Martin

Hi
I want to help the platform support Amlogic (S8xx\S9xxx) on the new kernel.
I have a few different model boards with the Amlogic S8xx\S9xxx with a
connected console UART \ SSH.
I can help with testing variants of the kernel on these boards.
In what form can I help the project ?
Excuse my English, I use computer translation.

I am currently trying to improve support for the older (32-bit) Meson SoCs.
Unfortunately I only have a device with S812 (Meson8m2) - do you have
any boards with Meson8 (S802) or Meson8b (S805) SoC? we could team up
and add mainline support for your boards
current status on my Meson8m2 device is:
- USB works (I only tested host mode)
- SD card can be read and written
- ethernet (my device has 10/100Mbit/s only) works
Regards,
Martin

Hi Martin.
I have a TV box S812 MXIII_Plus (2\16 eMMC), and the 2 model S805 (1\8
NAND). I know there are several users with different models s802 s805
s812 who are willing to participate in testing. Today I tried to use
Your kernel (branch meson-mx integration-4.12-20170506-5) to build a
test image Armbian (Ubuntu server). The kernel runs, but the system
fully not starts, stops without error message. I think this is due to
the fact that I use dtb data that is not priznachena for my model s812.
I have asked members from the forum Armbian check out this image
(kernel) on different models s8xxx. I hope that in a short time, you
should see information from other users about how to start Your kernel
on different models s8xxx. Soon I'll try to check - another of my
existing models s805 and will report the results. You can write, and
what else to check.

is the .dtb (or .dts) of your device available in your github repo [0]?
also please note that you need to change the bootargs in u-boot before
you can boot a mainline kernel (see also [1]): setenv bootargs
"console=ttyAML0,115200" (without this your serial console won't work)
