Actually, I suspect the situation is somewhat simpler.  It is possible
transmet.com may only have one mailbox that everything funnels into.
Their mail is hosted by "registeredsite.com", which has a somewhat
invalid web presence (IP address = 10.0.0.1).

of metal flakes, and does not appear to have a particularly large web
presence.

Interesting.  In my battles against spam, a *HUGE* precentage has been linked
with registeredsite.com.  Wouldn't be surprised if they were harvesting
addresses, or some other such vile stuffs.

It looks like the CC in "[RFC] New locking primitive for 2.5" by Martin
Wirth is the culprit.

Once this thread ends, or people change the address manually in their
replies the problem ends.

Interesting translation of the name of Nokia Chairman and CEO Jorma
Ollila. In Finnish, the word jorma doesn't always refer to the whole

   Maybe not. MS Exchange mail servers (can) forward erroneous mail
addresses within the domain to a specified recipient. My servers do this at
work because we work with a lot of international companies which use poor
spelling as a hiring prerequisite (I think). Anyway, I get all the mispelled
mail and they do not get a 'bounce' if I got Linus Torvalds e mail by
mistake I think you would get a very similar message to what you saw there
(I am guessing he gets a lot more than the rest of this list). I could be
way off base though in thinking this is similar.

Read closer - it's a trap account that intercepts Linus's emails.
One more reason to always use PGP/GPG, BTW.
