This patchset adds support for the tegra30 SoC and the cardhu development
board.

Pathset is on top of Will Deacon's ARM reset work.

Most important changes in v3:

* align with ARM restart rework. might need a bit of rework to merge with the
  latest version of this.
* minor cleanups and reformats

Most important changes in v2:

* account for arch_reset cleanup
* seperate patch for renaming pinmux-t2.h and pinmux-t2-tables.c
* fixed bug in common cache initialization
* fixed compatibility with non DT boards (boottested on harmony)
* improved commit messages

Peter De Schrijver (8):

This patch splits the early init code in a common and a tegra20 specific part.
L2 cache initialization is generalized and discovers the cache associativity
at runtime. Also use arm_pm_restart instead of arm_arch_reset and reset the
the system using the PMC reset feature rather then the CAR system reset.

Add new fields to struct tegra_pingroup_desc to support new hardware features
introduced in the tegra30 SoC. The pinmux driver won't use those fields yet,
but the tegra30 pinmux tables will already provide the necessary data.

Define the pinmuxing and pindrive tables for tegra30. The pinmux table defines
the available functions for each pinmux group. The pindrive table defines the
default pullup or pulldowns for each group.

Add support for tegra30 SoC. This includes a device tree compatible type for
this SoC ("nvidia,tegra30") and adds L2 cache initialization for this new SoC.
The clock framework is still missing, which prevents most drivers from working.

Add support for the tegra30 based cardhu development board. Cardhu is a tablet
formfactor reference design for tegra30. The patch provides a device tree for
the board, updates Makefile.boot to build the dtb, includes the platform in
Kconfig and updates board-dt.c.

It might be slightly clearer here to write:

> +	cache_type = readl(p + L2X0_CACHE_TYPE);
> +	aux_ctrl |= (cache_type & 0x700) << (17-8);

So that the contents of the cache type register isn't assigned to something
named after an unrelated register.

A few minor issues:

1) If I enable just ARCH_TEGRA_3x_SOC, but not ARCH_TEGRA_2x_SOC, the
kernel fails to build because arch/arm/mach-tegra/include/mach/irqs.h
only defines NR_IRQS if ARCH_TEGRA_2x_SOC is defined.

2) All the Tegra20 boards don't depend on ARCH_TEGRA_2x_SOC, so they can
be enabled even if only Tegra30 support is enabled.

3) I notice that in "arm/tegra: pinmux tables and definitions for tegra30",
you ifdef'd the two entries in tegra_pinmux_of_match[] based on which SoCs
were enabled, but in "arm/tegra: implement support for tegra30", you didn't
do the same for the two entries in early_init[] (board-dt.c). I'm not sure
how far we want to take only-Tegra20 or only-Tegra30 support, but perhaps
we should be consistent here?

I've tested this series on Harmony both booting with a board file and booting
using device-tree and don't see any issues. I'll try to test it on Cardhu
later today.

Peter, how did you test this on Tegra30/Cardhu?

I took the branch you send me containing all your patches and built it. I
tried booting this using both our internal Tegra30 U-boot, and using
fastboot from an internal Android Honeycomb image. In both cases, as soon
as the kernel started, it spewed a line or two of binary garbage on the
serial port, then nothing. Can you fill me in on details like:

a) What .config you used
b) What kernel command-line you used
c) Do you have an A01 or A02 CPU on your Cardhu, and how much RAM?
d) What bootloader you used (exact git commit ID of U-Boot, or the
Android build ID)
e) Do you have any local changes applied that may help boot work but aren't
in your patchset, or the branch you sent me?

Perhaps we should work on this off-list and report back once I've got it
working.

Thanks.

Note that there's another solution for the arch_reset() stuff floating
around (mine) which goes a tad further than Will's, specifically avoiding
the problems of having multiple function pointers for this stuff.

My version also cleans up the use of the identity mappings for non-soft
restarts, which is going to be needed to fix soft-restarts on ARMv6+v7
properly (as well as migrating all the soft-restart support to something
a little saner.)

Indeed. I also noticed that MACH_VENTANA lacks select MACH_SEABOARD...
Maybe I should submit a seperate patch to fix all this?

Yeah. I think didn't do it for the early_init because the savings are so
small. Consistency makes sense indeed, so I will add those ifdefs.

Cheers,

Peter.

I take that back. It's not needed.

I will make a patch to cleanup the ARCH_TEGRA_2x_SOC dependencies. Or do you
want this as part of the tegra30/cardhu series?

Cheers,

Peter.

It should be applied before/with the Tegra30/Cardhu series so that when
Tegra30 support is there, all the correct dependencies are. So, since I
think you're respinning the Tegra30/Cardhu series, you may as well include
it in there somewhere, but no big deal if it's posted separately.
