This patchset builds upon Yicong's previous patches [1].

Patch 2 introducing fix race issues found by using TMC-ETR.
Patch 1 & 3 introducing two cleanups found when debugging the issues.

tmc_drvdata::reading is used to indicate whether a reading process
is performed through /dev/xyz.tmc.
tmc_drvdata::etr_mode is used to store the Coresight TMC-ETR buffer
mode selected by the user.

Since the sysfs buffer allocation and the hardware enablement is not
in the same critical region, it's possible to race with the perf

A race condition is introduced here, perf always prioritizes execution, and
warnings can lead to concerns about potential hidden bugs, such as getting
out of sync.

To fix this, configure the tmc-etr mode before invoking enable_etr_perf()
or enable_etr_sysfs(), explicitly check if the tmc-etr sink is already
enabled in a different mode, and simplily the setup and checks for "mode".
To prevent race conditions between mode transitions.

Currently the perf buffer allocation follows the below logic:
- if the required AUX buffer size if larger, allocate the buffer with
  the required size
- otherwise allocate the size reference to the sysfs buffer size

This is not useful as we only collect to one AUX data, so just try to
allocate the buffer match the AUX buffer size.

TBH, we don't care about fairness of the different modes of operation.

1. Perf must be given the priority - Because that provides a full easy
framework for making any meaningful sense of the trace.

2. Sysfs mode should be only used for custom use cases, where you have
full control of the system. (e.g., System bringup, Validation or event
crash capture).

In other words, if someone wants to use sysfs mode they must know what
they are doing and not run any perf session in parallel.

Previously, I suggested setting the mode in a unified way in
tmc_enable_etr_sink() [1]. After looking into the code again, it seems
that both my suggestion and this patch set the perf mode is too late.

Maybe we need to set the sink's device mode once a session starts to use
it.  So we should set the perf mode when allocating sink's buffer
(tmc_alloc_etr_buffer()), as this is the first callback invoked for a
perf session.

As a result, we can keep to set the sysfs mode in
tmc_enable_etr_sink_sysfs().

A side topic is we need to refactor the tmc_etr_get_sysfs_buffer()
function, ideally this function is purely for allocating buffer without
any locking. We can defer to assign "drvdata->sysfs_buf" until
acquired spin lock in tmc_enable_etr_sink_sysfs().  Essetionally, we
can enable sink in one go rather than acquire-release lock for several
times.

Thats too early, in setup_aux(), when the event is not scheduled in. We 
don't know when that would be.

Hi Suzuki,

I understand now.
This issue has been present for some time. Based on the discussion 
above, the
quickest way to resolve it is to revert to patch [1]. I will rebase the 
series onto
for-next, submit the next version.

Additionally, I might delay or suspend the planned refactoring of
the mode handling.
