mlx5i_pkey_get_netdev() reads the QPN hash table without ht_lock,
while mlx5i_pkey_del_qpn() removes entries under that lock and then
frees them.
PKEY child interfaces share the parent's RX resources, so RX lookups
can overlap child removal and access a freed entry. A lookup for
another QPN in the same bucket can also be affected.
Hold ht_lock during lookup and save node->netdev before unlocking.
Fixes: 7e7f4780c340 ("net/mlx5e: IPoIB, Use hash-table to map between QPN to child netdev")

Hi!
This is an automated message. This series looks like a fix, but its
commit messages seem to be missing some information:
- How the issue was discovered, e.g. hit in production, hit during
development, syzbot report, manual code inspection, LLM or static
analysis tool scan.
- Whether the issue was actually triggered, or is only theoretical
(e.g. found by code inspection). If it was triggered please include
the symptoms, like the stack trace or error messages.
- What hardware the change was tested on. For driver fixes please
mention the device (and if relevant firmware version) used for
testing, or say that the change was not tested on real hardware.
Please do not repost the series just to address the above. Instead,
reply to this email with the missing information, so that reviewers
can take it into account. If the series needs another revision for
other reasons, please include the information in the commit messages
then.
The evaluation is done by an LLM so it may be wrong, if you think
that is the case please reply and explain.

I don't think that all these cases can happen. But I can see how a
CQE completion on the parent can read a pointer from the hash
bucket that just got deleted.
Please improve the commit message.

Holding the spinlock in the datapath is not a good idea. AFAIU
using hlist RCU variants will be enough.
Thanks,
Dragos

Thanks for reviewing. I will narrow the commit message to the parent CQE
lookup racing with hash-entry removal.

I will switch to RCU hlist operations with deferred freeing and send v2
after validation.
