Hello;  bob knight
thank you again for helping me out with fglrx, The build did worked
this time, I received an invalid lvalue with cap_t, but was able to
carry through with just using an old capability.h file.
As for the change_page_attr (I dont think I would of ever gotten that)
nice work; here is what dmesg says:

[ 8.823442] Symbol init_mm is marked as UNUSED, however this module
is using it.
[ 8.823446] This symbol will go away in the future.
[ 8.823448] Please evalute if this is the right api to use, and if
it really is, submit a report the linux kernel mailinglist together
with submitting your code for inclusion.

buffers: 913 MBytes.

[ 54.785599] [fglrx] Receive enable interrupt message with

I looked on google but didnt find much about init_mm
I'll paste what you gave me on the mactel site so anybody who needs
fglrx on 2.6.25 can get it working to somewhat of an extent.
regards;

Please complain to ati about your binary only crap or even better
support open source development by switching to the free xorg 'ati' driver.

The only fix is to get rid of the ATI video card. I've had this problem
in the past with their stuff and just ended up beating my head against a
wall. It's not worth it .. trust me. The fglrx driver has been crap for
over two years and the open sourced versions are slow leaving me to give
up and just buy something else.

Hello;
O.K., sorry for the confusion. I will keep my messages in the context
of kernel-development only.
As for reply-to-all I will do that also(hopefully I do this correctly).
regards

Please stop discussing binary-only drivers on linux-kernel.

That's 100% off-topic here.

Hello; fair enough, I did ask ati about what I should do, but there
wasn't much help. Overall its not pretty, but If you are impatient for
ati to come out with an update then this should get you going(for 3D).
The problem I see is, SELinux is going out of whack due to fglrx
wanting a cap_t effective vector. So on the secure side I probably
wont use fglrx until there is support for the proper capability.
or take you're approach and look at the open ati driver.
