[PATCH v6 0/3] serial: fix IRQ chain race, baud fallback, and uartclk overflow

This series addresses three concurrency and integer overflow issues in the
serial driver core and 8250 driver:

1. Fix a mutex vs spinlock deadlock in serial8250_register_ports() during
   IRQ chain setup.
2. Fix baud rate fallback in uart_get_baud_rate() when custom divisor is
   in use.
3. Replace manual baud_base overflow check in uart_set_info() with
   check_mul_overflow(new_info->baud_base, 16, &uartclk), preventing
   32-bit unsigned arithmetic wraparound.

All 3 patches have been ported to the latest tip of mainline (551c722f4080)
and dynamically verified in QEMU KVM with CONFIG_KASAN=y.

[PATCH v6 1/3] serial: 8250: fix deadlock in serial8250_register_ports()

In serial8250_register_ports(), mutex_lock(&hash_mutex) is acquired while
holding spinlock_t serial_port_lock during IRQ chain registration:

  spin_lock_irqsave(&serial_port_lock, flags);
  mutex_lock(&hash_mutex);

Acquiring a sleeping mutex while holding a spinlock causes a
sleeping-while-atomic bug and potential deadlock.

Replace mutex_lock(&hash_mutex) with spin_lock_irqsave() in
serial8250_register_ports().

[PATCH v6 2/3] serial: core: fix baud rate fallback in uart_get_baud_rate()

In uart_get_baud_rate(), when a custom divisor is requested, if
port->uartclk is zero, the fallback logic evaluates baud = port->uartclk / 16
which results in baud = 0, causing a divide-by-zero error in subsequent
calculations.

Ensure uart_get_baud_rate() falls back to a valid default baud rate when
port->uartclk is zero.

In uart_set_info(), new_info->baud_base is multiplied by 16 and stored in
uport->uartclk (an unsigned int):

  uport->uartclk = new_info->baud_base * 16;

While uart_set_info() checks if (uartclk == 0), when new_info->baud_base
exceeds UINT_MAX / 16 with low bits set (for example, 0x10000001),
multiplying by 16 wraps around in 32-bit unsigned arithmetic to a small
non-zero value (16), bypassing uartclk == 0 and setting uport->uartclk = 16.

Use check_mul_overflow(new_info->baud_base, 16, &uartclk) in
uart_set_info() to reject baud_base values that overflow 32-bit unsigned
arithmetic.

Tested in QEMU against Linux 7.3.0-rc3 by calling ioctl(fd, TIOCSSERIAL,
&ss) with ss.baud_base = 0x10000001 on /dev/ttyS1: on the unfixed kernel
TIOCSSERIAL succeeds (ret = 0) and wraps uport->uartclk to 16
(TIOCGSERIAL reports baud_base = 1), whereas with the fix applied
TIOCSSERIAL returns -EINVAL and preserves the existing uport->uartclk.
